8/4/2011 - iMap Multimedia Inc. announced that the Hawai'i Convention Center (HCC) in Honolulu Hawai'i went live with iMap's Interactive Hotel Location Map.

The "state-of-the-art" interactive location map is a fully intuitive on-line map that is available to anyone, but is specifically designed to be used by HCC Meeting & Event Planners & Visitors. Focusing within Honolulu and specifically the Waikiki beach area, the viewer quickly understands where the HCC is located and is guided to the key areas and the hotels within its vicinity.

Along with providing interactive areas of interest that the HCC wishes to draw the viewer's attention to, the interactive map's primary purpose is to provide an enhanced and convenient way for Meeting & Event Planners to find accommodations for their group's stay. Along with the easy-to-use navigation controls to allow the viewer to pan & zoom within a specific and strategic area, the viewer can choose from the menu or map to interactively remove or display any hotel. Each hotel displayed on the map will interactively provide detailed information about that hotel; number of rooms, address and contact information. A viewer can print individual hotel information that is of interest to them, they can mark up and place Post-It-Notes on the map and immediately print or email the map to share, communicate & collaborate with other Planners & colleagues.

As an additional service iMap will also provide the HCC with Meeting Maps. Meeting Maps are identical to the Interactive Hotel Location Map, but are individually branded for each Event and will display only specific partner hotels for that Event. Both the Interactive Hotel Location Map and Meeting Map applications will allow HCC Meeting & Event Planners the ability to automatically and conveniently create hardcopy maps with labels and corresponding legends that can be inserted and used in event packages.
