We don't review retro games regularly enough for any kind of comprehensive list, but here are the ones we happen to have done: Chrono Trigger, Gate Of Thunder, IK+, Paper Mario, R-Type, Secret Of Mana, Sin & Punishment, Soldier Blade, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Kart, Super Metroid, The Legend Of Zeda: Majora's Mask, Uridium, and Wave Race 64. They produce new IPs and publish games by everyone from Suda51 to BioWare to Crytek. I am not being naïve I know that they are about the bottom line and answering to their shareholders. Apparently their working practices leave a lot to be desired and their move to Facebook games is a little disconcerting. However I find that their current business model is more constructive to the industry as whole compared to certain other publishers. Although the Activision man you interviewed gives me hope that there is a future for DJ Hero and its ilk. I think EA’s comments about Call Of Duty are not aimed at us but, I hate to use this term, your average Call of Duty player. My 11 year old nephew told me the other day that the new Call Of Duty was rubbish 'cos it had cartoon looking guns'. Battlefield 3 is better according to him. It seems EA’s playground taunts have literally filtered down into the playground. Don’t leave us hanging like that Matthew Hardcastle, did you push send? I wish I could pre-order all my games online and get them early but I’ve got to use trade-ins a lot to help buy new releases. Oh well, at least I can get them somehow. I’m sure nobody will mind if they don’t have Xmas pressies from me this year. GRID 2 has been confirmed in passing, but nothing's ever been seen of it. As for Second World War shooters, they've largely fallen out of fashion nowadays. The last major one was Call Of Duty: World At War and the only ones we can think of coming up is the tongue-in-cheek Brothers In Arms: Furious 4 and the ultra realistic Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad.
