JAKARTA (AFP) - An Indonesian court sentenced a French national to life in prison for allegedly attempting to smuggle methamphetamine into the country, a court official said Tuesday.
Debetz Gerard, 54, was arrested in January after landing on a flight from Dubai Emirates Airways with 5 kg of illegal drugs, estimated at a value of 7.6 billion rupees (S $ 1.1 million) .
